Intro to Clay

This class will introduce students to the different types of clay, firing requirements, terminology, and handling characteristics. Four hand-building techniques will be presented and the students will build/create several pieces, which will be fired, glazed, and re-fired. The pieces will be available for pick-up the following week.

This class is taught by our ceramics instructor, Steve Harding, and is a good prerequisite to our 4-week Ceramics and Pottery Course, but is not a required prerequisite.
